All these substances can produce residual liquids or rinse water that may not simply be discharged into the sewer. read more about Waste treatment and chemical product regulations below.&nbsp;\n<h3>Why these products are not allowed in the sewer<\/h3>\nMany chemicals contain acids, bases or metals that can be harmful to the environment or water treatment. In the Netherlands, therefore, both individuals and companies must dispose of these liquids in a responsible manner. Each product may have different rules depending on its composition. For private individuals, the practice is usually simple: hand it in at the recycling center as small chemical waste (RCA).
